Renata Vitovjakova

Acupuncturist

Hi!

My name is Renata. I was born in Eastern Europe, Czechia. Back in 2007 I came to the UK to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the University of Salford. Life happened and I am still here. I have a wonderful family and I love my work. After completing my degree, I joined a successful multibed acupuncture clinic and worked alongside some great practitioners.

In 2015 I started my own practice Ren Acupuncture. I have a very busy practice in Manchester. Until recently I was also a proud member of the Manchester Holistic Clinic. During the pandemic however our team of therapists dispersed. Fast forward to 2023 and here I am at the Align Healthcare Clinic offering my skillsto Merseyside.

I am a long-term vegetarian and an animal lover. Since living here, I can’t get my hands warm, and I own an electric blanket. An item I didn’t even know existed before my life in the UK.

To help as much as I can, I like to get to know my clients and their situation. I ask questions about their life, diet, stress levels, exercise and so on. All can be relevant in terms of Chinese Medicine. The body never lies. Your tongue and pulse can tell a lot about your health and constitution. Some health issues are hard to cure completely but can be managed effectively with the right self-care. As well as receiving treatments you can expect life-style recommendations. Don’t worry, acupuncture isn’t painful, the needles are very fine and thin. You should be aware of them however and initially feel the gentle sensation of pulling, pressure, heavy ache or electric impulse. This means the acupoints are activated and your body s responding. A lot of my clients fall asleep during their treatment.

When I am not working or reading textbooks, I enjoy my family, cooking, nature walks, cycling, and meditating. After 17 years of rich experience, I teach meditation at different levels. Don’t be fooled meditation is not always the most relaxing activity but for me it is one of the most rewarding.
